Ingredients

The Sandwiches

  • 1 lb Pastrami
  • 8 slices rye bread
  • 3-4 cups kimchi
  • 8 slices gruyere cheese

Big Mac Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp french dressing
  • 4 tsp relish
  • 1 tbsp minced onion
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Instructions

The Sandwiches

  • Heat a large cast iron pan on medium high. Place 1/4 lb of pastrami in the pan. Pile it in approximately the shape of the bread. Top with 2 slices of gruyere, add 1-2 tbsp of water to the edge of the pan and cover. Cook until the cheese is melted. About 1-2 minutes
  • With a large spatula pick up the meat and put it on a slice of rye. Spread mac sauce on another piece and top the meat with 3/4-1cup kimchi. Cut sandwiches in half and serve.

The Mac Sauce

  • In a medium sized mixing bowl whisk together all ingredients.
